to see their mission in action.
On the Menu: Custom Gluten-Free Granola
Impact Foods co-founders Benjamin Hurt and Blaine Iler met in a Dallas-based entrepreneurship program.
“We learned early on that entrepreneurs solve problems. Inspired by companies like Patagonia and TOMS, we set out to launch a brand about more than just us,’” says Ben. “We studied the world’s biggest issues and quickly found our mission.”
Blaine continues, “Today, one billion people in our world are hungry. That’s unacceptable to us. We created Impact Foods to deliver really, really good food with a single mission: end hunger.”
Here’s how it works. Impact Foods gives a child a hunger pack for every bag of granola sold. Hunger packs provide essential nutrients to combat severe malnutrition. In support of this mission, Impact Foods has been expanding distribution of its granola. Company Cafe is the first restaurant to feature Impact Foods granola on its menu.
After meeting with Company Cafe co-owner Stephen White late last year, Ben and Blaine developed a custom gluten-free blend for the restaurant.
Stephen says: “The moment I met Ben and Blaine, I knew Impact Foods was a perfect fit for Company Cafe. They provide exactly the kind of locally owned, quality product we love. Top that off with helping to feed a hungry child for every Impact Foods menu item ordered? It just doesn’t get any better than that.”
Ben and Blain agree: “We’re so pleased Company Cafe and its customers have joined with us to make an impact.”
You’ll find Impact Foods two places on the menu. Enjoy Impact Foods Gluten-Free Granola with Three Happy Cows honey yogurt and fresh fruit until 3 pm daily. After that, the dinner menu steps in with Impact Trout, which is granola encrusted and pan seared. (It also comes with sides of chimichurri rice and sautéed seasonal vegetables.)
